Our foundation Hereford females were all purchased from the Dovemount herd. We have several well-known families, including Lady Lynda, Daffodil, Gipsy, Wyandot, M-family and P-family. Many of these lines trace back to the Tarrington, Rowington and Wenlock herds. Phocle Dowager 268D, purchased at the Caplor herd dispersal sale at Hereford Market, joined us in February 2015. She is out of the renowned Phocle Dowager N123V, and is in the top 10% of the breed for Terminal and Self-Replacing EBV indices.

A consignment of six strong cows from the Ervie herd in Stranraer arrived in November 2016. They have all calved unaided, and are excellent mothers. Their heifers, sired by 91151H, will be joining the calving herd in 2020.
Lady Lydia family
The Lady Lydia line started the day after our youngest daughter, Lydia, was born. Our lovely Elwess Honolulu, a Free Town Baron daughter, calved a beautiful heifer by Dovemount Harold. Honolulu originated from the Lady Lynda line, so we decided to give this special little heifer a rather special name!
My word, this girl has not disappointed! Every calf has been a beauty, and this year's bull calf is no exception. We are keeping our fingers crossed for another heifer next year...

Gipsy Family
Lady Lynda family
Our foundation Lady Lynda cows were purchased from the Thorley Bros' Dovemount herd, and descend from the Rowington Lady Lynda line. This line of cows is very milky, feminine and productive with excellent maternal traits.
The "P" Family
P is for Powerhouse, or at least it should be with this family! These girls know how to produce powerful calves, and never need any assistance. They are strong, hardy, easy fleshing, and brimming with milk. The backbone of our herd!
